Jealous that children get more toys than candy at Christmas, the evil Candy Queen has broken into Santa’s workshop and stolen all the toys. After absconding to Candy World, she’s now hidden the toys across the grid. We need your help to find and rescue the toys to save Christmas!

To us this means time to sort out our costumes and let's go!

Before I really get into the game I want to compliment MadPea on the looks of this years sim. The reward sim feels like a giant Candyland boardgame with different candy themes along the way. Even the advant calender portals are made in this style.

I do not know who made this sim, but give them a raise!

How do I join Magical Toy Rescue?

For only $L300 you can purchase the HUD at the Madpea Mainstore or at the Magical Toy Rescue Start. Once you purchased your HUD you add it, and a radar appears in the left corner with little dots on it. This is the indicator how many toys there and where they are. In the package you also receive a candy wand, you will need to wear this in order to be able to collect they toys and the candies. (Does it not match your outfit? Simply turn it invisible.)

HUD Explained

There are a few buttons on the HUD so I'll take you along explaining them.

Sound Next to the radar on the left you see the sound button. This sound button only applies to your radar sound, if you don't like the sound you can turn that off right there.

Toy & Candy Count On the bottom left you see an icon with three stripes, once you click this another window will open in your HUD showcasing your points, candies and visited sims. When you click the right arrow down on the new window you can see specifically which toys you have rescued. These numbers are linked to achievement points on the MadPea websit.

Home Have you been teleporting enough or do you just want to go back to the starting point of the hunt, simply click the little house icorn and it will bring you back to the start point of Magical Toy Hunt. Don't forget to go there every day to collect your candies.

Teleport Since we need locations to find the toys, the globe icon comes in handy. When you click this it will show you a new location that has toys hidden on the sim. You can easily teleport by clicking '1', if you don't want that location click 'New Location'.

Favorite Places Sometimes we come across this beautiful sim we do not want to forget about. Besides landmarking you can also save this sim inside your HUD as your favorite. This is where the heart icon comes in. When you click the heart a window pops up with three options, My Faves, Others Faves and Add to Faves. My Faves shows you the sims you favorited yourself and this way can look back and teleport to them. Other Faves are all the sims with the most favorites on a list created with faves of all the MadPea players. Add to Faves is the button you use to add a sim to your own Faves.

What do I need to collect?

There are 5 catagories of toys you can collect, every catagory is worhty of an x amount of points and last an x amount of hours for the peopel that rezzed them on their land. Ont he main sim with the Candyland boardgame there are teleports with numbers. Each number represents a day, like an advant calendar. Inside these little rooms the reward of that day will be revealed. You can claim that reward with the points you receive from the toys. Below you see a list of all the toys that need to be rescued so you know what they look like.

We also able to collect candies as you can see on your HUD, these candies are hidden inside the dates on the Candyland playboard at the main sim. In every day there is one candy hidden. Now even though we collect them, we have still no clue what we can do these candies, but we better make sure to collect them all before it's too late.

Is it worth playing?

This game is fun to play alone or with friends, a group as big as you like. There is no timer or mandatory playing unless you want to get the rewards, since you'll need points for them. It is a lot of fyn playing with friends, we'd be on a call and yell at each other trying to find candies with a lot of laughter and joy, and before you know it a few hours have passed.

So yes if you like to do something with your friends, or you like the rewards revealed daily on MadPea's Flickr it's absolutely worth it for this small price. Points are easy to gather it's not that hard or taking hours to collect points for a toy. However do keep in mind if you have a dinosaur computer/laptop, the many teleports and the big sims could make you lagg or even crash a lot, there are quite some heavy sims out there.
