In December 2020 my sister treated me to my very first Secondlife vacation experience, and brought me to the Savasdee Resort in Phuket, Thailand. This vacation resort has been created by NuWave Destinations which gives you the real taste of a virtual vacation, filled with entertainment, roleplay and exploring adventures for days.
"I had ever experienced something like this in my life!"
Upon our arrival you are taken into a wonderful roleplay experience, which I won't spill too much about. You get a very special tour over the island showing you how large the sim really is, and even from the tour everything looked perfect, I had never experienced something like this in my life! We got to the entrance and got greeted by a friendly face who set us all up for our check in. It is worthy to mention to my fellow Europeans that you can ask to check in at an earlier time as they usually follow a schedule. However I could personally not stay awake till 2AM and they arranged us to check in later.
After checking in we received our keys to our private cabin, and let me tell you this was something. Upon entering you hear the calming sounds of your surroundings and you step into this beautifully decorated space that has really been thought out in every detail. Before you arrive you can request special needs or buy extra packages for anniversaries or other occasions.

Without getting in too much details to ruin any possible vacation I will tell you there is a lot to do on the island. Besides the roleplay adventures provided by the NuWave staff, there is plenty to do when you are roaming around the island yourself.
"Are you more adventurous, I highly suggest to look into some of the interactive activities on the island."
You can visit the little town of Phucket and enjoy local foods, or you could swim and relax at the lovely beach to work on your tan. Are you more adventurous, I highly suggest to look into some of the interactive activities on the island. You can ride around the island in your own jeep, enjoy a game of wall climbing or learn how to shoot with an arrow and bow. If you are very quiet you might even encounter some friendly elephants who will allow you to ride their backs.
If you like to relax I could highly recommend the Spa Resort, it's very calming and beautifully decorated to give you that sanctuary feeling. Relax in a milk bath, steam away your problems or just let someone massage away your stress. If you need some time to get more in touch with yourself, the roleplay provided yoga class is an absolute must.

Overall I would say that visiting Thailand has absolutely amazed me, and has opened my eyes to the possibilities on Secondlife. We actually returned to Thailand in June 2021 and even though I knew what to expect, it was still just as much fun as it was the first time, and I highly suggest to book your vacation.
